Steam train journey from Niebüll to Westerland

29 May 2027 Niebüll - Westerland

A historic train, scheduled to be hauled by our 012 104-6, will travel across the Hindenburgdamm to the island on Saturday. The stops in Klanxbüll and Morsum will be marked by celebrations.

Due to the closure of the Husum–Niebüll line – which has been sensibly timed to coincide with the opening of the EStW, as decided by DB Infrago – the train will only run from Niebüll. Our 012 will travel to Niebüll with the rolling stock as early as 28 May and will not return to Neumünster until 31 May.

Arrival of 01 1104 at the DDM in Neuenmarkt-Wirsberg

10 Oct – 11 Oct 2026 Deutsches Dampflokmuseum Neuenmarkt-Wirsberg

On Saturday, 10October 2026, 01 1104 will arrive at the German Steam Locomotive Museum from Chemnitz at around 2.00 pm and will then be cleaned and restored in the coal yard in preparation for its arrival at the Ringlokschuppen on 1110 October 2026.
